Olga Schmedling, Dr. Philos, (educated at University of Oslo and D.E.A. in Philosophy at Sorbonne, Paris) Ass. Professor at the Dept. of Art and Craft , Oslo National Academy of the Arts where she teaches theory. She has previously been professor at HDK, School of Design and Crafts, Gothenburg, director of KIK Information Centre for Contemporary Art and Craft and Editor of Yearbook of Norwegian Contemporary Art, President of International Association of Art Critics AICA Norway (+vice president in international AICA). As editor and critic she has contributed to journals and reviews in addition to catalogues and books.
